Spring 2016 Runway Trends

The worldwide spring 2016 fashion weeks were overflowing with amazing looks and so, so feminine – too many to pick from. It’s not too early to start thinking spring!

Neck bows, embroidery, lots of detailed embellishments, layers and a variety of retro shapes. We loved the floral satins and silks that were shown in two-piece pajama sets (not for sleeping but to wear). The slip dress is back with lace and lots of colors.

Bold solid stripes with serious coloring between the strips. Flamenco ruffles, off-the-shoulder details and shocks of red make us want to visit Spain.

Bomber jackets, in all different types of fabrics, worn with anything and everything. We especially liked the jackets paired with daytime dresses and evening dresses.

Feathers, ruffles, pastels, chiffon and sheer details made up the most beautiful clothes. And last, but not least think English garden patterns and Victorian ruffles.

The ‘no-makeup makeup’ look was highlighted throughout all the New York Fashion Week shows. Dewy and glowing faces featuring soft peachy and pink cheeks, pastel lips (with the exception of the timeless red lip) and very little eye makeup. We think it’s refreshing to be able to see a person’s face versus a ‘made-up’ look!
