PERFUME: (Parfum or Extrait) is the most concentrated form of fragrance and may contain up to 300 different elements in its blend with a 15 to 30 percent concentration of essential and fragrance oils in an alcohol base. Typically a fragrance time of 3 to 8 hours. Costs range from $150 to $350.
EAU DE PARFUM: Is also long lasting with an 8 to 15 percent concentration of essential and oils and fragrance diluted in alcohol and distilled water base. Costs range from $110 and up.
EAU DE TOILETTE: Is a lighter version of scent with a 4 to 8 percent concentration of essential oils in an alcohol and distilled water base. Fragrance time is from 4 to 6 hours and should be reapplied during the day. Costs range from $40 to $80.
EAU DE COLOGNE: Is a less concentrated scented compound with a ratio of 2 to 5 percent of essential or fragrance oils in an alcohol and distilled water base. It is often used as an after-bath splash and will last 2 to 4 hours. Costs range from $65 and up.
